Caesar slipped his hands into his pockets. "I'm sorry to hear that." he said, Then looked up as the bird came with a pouch of gold, and the sailor laughed. "Good bird." he said, and patted him on the head. He was surprised, though, when Alaya tossed two coins to him. He put them in his pocket. "Thanks." he said. "But some words of advice: Don't ever let anyone know that you have money, and don't lend any out, cause you'll never see it again." Caesar warned. The Sea Hounds were like family to him, but he knew his family.

Alaya nodded. "Alright, so what can you tell me about the sea hounds?" She asked. She needed to know the type of people she would be with. What were they really like. She started to pet Seeker's feathers. Her mind was wondering back to when she was with her mother. Her hand went to her bag of shells. What was life going to be like now. She never really thought back about her mother. It was strange, she spent the first half of her life almost with her now she was going back out to sea with people she never met before. She must of been desperate.

"Well, you know most of their drunken personalities," Caesar said, which was true. She was a wench, and often dealed with the with the drunk Pirates of the saloon. "But once you get to know them, they're all just a bunch of awesome guys. Caesar hopped up onto a barrel and stood upon it, looking down at Alaya. "We fight our own fights," he said, drawing his sword and brandishing it as if there were an invisible opponent in front of him. "We steal what we like," He took three gold coins out of his pocket. He had stolen them from a Siren Pirate named Sirinity. "We eat what we want, when we want, and drink what we please." He cupped his hands into the barrel, and pulled out a bottle of rum and pulled the cork. He took a large swig of it, and handed it to Alaya. "But, when we are sober, we never leave a man without rum. When we are drunk, it's every man for himself." She had seen this first hand, that night at the bar. The sailor hopped down from the barrel again. "We gamble, and know how to have fun. Once in a while, every blue moon, or on special occasions, we tell stories. Lots of stories." he said. "And when one man if feeling down, it's up to the rest of the crew to cheer him up. We work like a pack. If one wolf is down, we're all down." he told her. Then bobbed his head to the side, "... Unless you're kidnapped. Then, it's been nice know'n ya."

"Great so I am going to be living with a bunch of drunks who like to fight and gamble but will help each other when needed" She stated with her arms crossed over her chest. "I feel so much better" She rolled her eyes. Alaya smiled and walked to where she could see the sea. "One last question...What would happen if the sea hounds found out who I was? Would it really matter or what?" She asked.

Caesar looked at her, offended. "Now, I wouldn't say that. We're not just any drunks, you know. We're Sea Hounds! I'm tell'n ya, it's a great bunch of people. You'll see when you get to know 'em." Then he looked away, thinking. "I don't know." he said. "We've never had a woman on board before. I think it might be into the sea for you, if they found out. Women are bad luck on a ship, you know."

Alaya smiled. "Well then lets hope that doesn't happen" Like that is really going to get rid of me. She shrugged her shoulders wondering what her new life was going to be like. "Well I am looking forward to getting to know these Sea Hounds. So now really what is your position on the ship" She asked.

"Just a sailor." he shrugged. "I do what needs to be done. Man the sails, mend the rigging, clean the deck," a smile peeled his lips, "Fight the battles." he said proudly, with a sense of mischief. "What job did you do when you were with your father?" asked the Sea Hound. It would be interesting to hear just what kind of things she had been doing aboard a ship. It was amazing that they even allowed her aboard, he wondered if they let her work.

Alaya lowered her head a bit. "Well really whatever I could do at the time. I was small so most jobs weren't open for me. I could easily tie knots and secure lines down but that was all I was allowed to do" She stated. She knew she could do more it was just hard for a girl to work on a ship. If she wasn't half Siren she would join the Sirens. She almost laughed at the thought. "Look all I care is for people to let me do whatever and not ask questions"

"That's cool." Caesar said. "I can respect that. Nobody will ask you anything. If they do, all you have to do is look up with a straight face. That's it. Don't say anything. And they'll go." He told her. The pirate looked around the other shops. "Anything else you need, you think?"

Alaya shook her head. "Nope nothing but getting on that ship" She said. Alaya looked up at the night sky. There were so many stars but no moon. She smiled wondering what was going to happen. There was a superstition if there was to be a moon that night but it didn't showed its face till very late in the night then something was going to happen.

"Alright." he said, and began to lead her to the ship that was his home. Then Caesar turned back to her when he saw the smile from the corner of his eye. "What's so funny?" he asked. Every good pirate wanted to hear a story, and it was in their nature to be curious about things. The night wind blew through his mangled hair, and the coldness of the dark found his toes. But he didn't care about that. All he cared about right now was the story.

Alaya shook her head. "There is no moon. It is said that if the moon shows itself latter that it should, that is suppose to mean something is about to happen" She said. "It is really stupid just I tend to believe it. So far it hasn't been wrong" Seeker flew up in the sky circled over the two before landing back on Alaya's shoulder.

"Well, something always happens." Caesar said, a little disappointed. "Things are always happening, and never stop." He stroked Seeker's head when he landed and scratched behind his wings. The grass was wet under his bare feet, and more than cold. He reached down and found a little worm in the grass. Looking at it carefully, he decided that Seeker might like it, and tried to feed it to him.
