Alaya looked around the shop. Noting really caught her eyes. Seeker hoped about on her shoulder. She looked around to see what the raven wanted. She noticed some bedding not too far off. Behind the pile was a sandy color hammock. She picked it up and felt the material in her hands. It was soft but strong. She smiled slightly then walked over to Caesar. "What else would you suggest?" She asked.

"Blankets." he replied. "Lots and lots of blankets. You've never known what cold is until you've been aboard a ship. And you'll want pillows, too. You can never have too many pillows." The sailor rocked to and fro in the hammock that he was sitting in, just thinking. "You may want to pick up something for the walls too. Some posters or paintings or something that you like. You'll have a space on the wall that will belong to you, all your own. Get something that makes you happy. And maybe a little shelf that you can nail into the boards. It comes in handy to rest things on. Especially a bottle of rum."

Alaya nodded and looked around. She didn't mind it being clod as long as it was damp. She decided two thick blankets would do her fine. She found two dark blue thick and soft blankets and grabbed two pillows that were a lighter shade of blue. Now for a shelf. She had the old maps she won a while ago. She would use those and a shelf would be good for other objects, not rum. She found some wood and screws on one of the shelves. She looked over her items satisfied. She walked over to Caesar. "I think I have everything now" She said.

He looked them over as she plucked them from the shelves. He shook his head. "Your viewing them too daintily. It makes you look feminine. Here." he took something from one of the store shelves and tossed it in the air, catching it in his hand. He tossed it from palm to palm, viewing it, and turned it over. Then put it back. "And yes, that all looks good." He turned to leave, intending to help her steal the items, but the clerk was standing in front of the door, waiting. "Um, maybe we'd better pay..." Caesar chuckled nervously. "I'll get it for you." Even if she looked like a boy, Allya was still a lady. And Caesar would pay. He pulled out two gold coins, handed them to the clerk, and opened the door.

Alaya nodded, she would keep that in mind. They started to walk out. Alaya wondered if it was really the thing to do, just steal. Of cores it was she told her shelf, pirates equals stealing. She watched as Caesar gave the clerk two coins. She followed him out of the store. "I can pay for my own things" She said. "What next?"

"Candles." he said. "And ink, and parchment." It was always a good idea to have these things. You never knew when they might come in handy. The candles, of course, for light in the dark sleeping quarters. The ink and parchment for writing, drawing maps, and emergencies. If ever one were to be shoved overboard by the crew, it was important to have something to put inside a rum bottle to float out to sea to be rescued. And besides, it would be useful for sketching up treasure maps. "And we'll need to get you a new shirt." he said, plucking at the white one that she was wearing. It wouldn't serve her too well if she got wet.

"Alright your the boss" She teased. Alaya walked along enjoying the night air. Seeker flew off towards the beach. Alaya watched him fly. She looked over to see the sea slightly off in the distance. She wondered if she would be able to see the Sirens again. "Question, what type of creatures are we likely to encounter?" She asked.

"You name it, we've seen it." Caesar told her simply. "And there's always something mysterious and unnamed in our voyages, so keep an eye out." he teased her, though it was true. There was always something[/i magical out at sea. His eyes searched for the next shop building. "What kind of things are you hoping to see?" he asked her. All sailors had their favorites. Some like sharks, some liked the little sea-horse looking fish in the bay. Some liked the gulls, and others enjoyed the crabs on the beaches. Some just liked the things that they could eat. Everyone was different.

Alaya listened. What did she want to sea. Well anything magical. Merfolk, she wanted to see the Sirens again, maybe a Seron. Should she tell this pirate that? Well what was the harm in acting like she never saw any of the creatures of the sea? "I think it would be cool to see the Merfolk. I really want to meet a Siren" She said wondering how he would react.

Caesar bobbed his head. "Those are some beautiful creatures, they are." he said. They were rare to see, but he, along with any other man, loved to see the Sirens. He looked up to the next shop, and opened the door for her again. This time he sat on top of a shelf while she shopped. He wasn't one much for standing around. If he was going to be in one place for a while, why not relax? "How would you go about meeting one of them?" he asked her, continueing their conversation as he studied a near by pack of ink. "They are the most lovely and most dangerous creatures of the sea. They lure us in with their sweet angelic voices, just before we crash into the rocks. But oh, how beautiful they are..." he said, his eyes closing for a moment as he thought of his last sight of them.

Alaya walked into the shop. She looked around the shelves reminding herself about what Caesar said. She grabbed a stack of paper, three sturdy pens and two bottles of ink. Those could fit in her bag. She looked for large candles that didn't have a sent to them. With a good number of them she walked over to Caesar. "I don't know how you would approach a Siren. All I know are stories my father told me of them. He took me out to sea once so we could see them but it turned out that the one he was looking for was dead, I only saw a glimpse of one of the Sirens" She said. It was partly true. She wasn't about to tell this man that.

"Your father met a Siren?" Caesar asked, his voice harshly more than a whisper. He was shocked. "How in the 'Ell did he manage to do tha'" asked the pirate. Sirens only lured men into the sharp rocks. There were no recorded survivors. Ever. "What was she like? Did he tell you about her? How do they look up close? Do they all look the same, or are they different?" To see them from far away, they all looked very similar.

Alaya shook her head. She could easily answer those questions. Yet, Alaya the human couldn't. She just told him she didn't really see the siren. "Well he said that he fell in love with the song like most men. The Sirens don't necessarily always want to sink a ship. He was one of the few lucky ones to meet the Sirens. He said they were beautiful. Each had different shades of blue to green for hair and scales. Not all had fish tails some had two legs like humans. My father said they were dressed in dresses of seaweed and shells. At first, he said that all the songs entranced him but after a short amount of time he fell for only one and she fell for him. After that he was only entranced by her song. He regretted having to leave but promised to return. He did, that time with me but she was dead and we didn't find any others" She said her voice trailing off at the end. She didn't like talking too much about her mother.

Caesar listened to the story, entranced. Any sailor loved a good story. "What did your mother think about him falling for the Siren?" he asked her. It wasn't very common for a man to care for a child without the aid of a woman. Surely her mother must have known about all of it. He took the items from her and slipped them under his shirt and walked out. A successful steal. When they were outside again, he gave them back to her.

Alaya walked behind Caesar as he slipped out of the store. She thought about some story to tell the sailor. Her father wasn't married, her mother was that Siren. "She died when I was three so she didn't mind" She said. That would work. She just hoped if she did see the Sirens the men were entranced or didn't pay any attention when she greeted them. She gladly took her thing s back and placed them in her bag. Seeker came back and landed on her shoulder, this time with a small bag full of coins. "Where did you get this?" She asked the bird. She took the pouch and placed it in her bag. She tossed two gold coins to Caesar. "That's for the bedding" She said.
