His jaw fell open as he observed what had just happened. He slid down the mast and tossed over the edge of the ship to help her up. When he was sure that she had a grip, he hauled her up over the rail. Caesar looked at her, unable to speak. He had never seen such a thing. He reached into his pocket and pulled the ten coins, handing them to her. He peered over the edge at the hammerheads, skin crawling as he shivered. "How... How did you possibly...?" he stuttered, trying to understand what couldn't be understood.

Alaya only grinned as she took the money. "Just something I learned" She teased. It was funny watching his expression. She could have stayed there longer. She wanted to, but someone might have seen so that wouldn't have been a good idea. She wrung out her shirt slightly so she wouldn't drip all over the deck. "Besides why would I take the deal if I couldn't" She asked.

Wolfe had been in the main cabin working on different routes when he exited the cabin. He still had his nose stuffed in the map when he saw the newest member of their crew jump into the water. WHAT THE HELL?! he shouted in his head. He quickly folded the map and put it in his back pocket. He quickly ran over to Caesar as he pulled up the young boy. "What is going on?" he shouted. He was more worried about the boy than anything. "Are you crazy Caesar?! he said. He knew that somehow Caesar was involved.

"Remember your squeaky voice. Here comes the Captain." he whispered urgently. And sure enough, Wolfe was within inches of them in less than a moment. "Nothing, Captain, sir." he said, smiling. "Just a little wager is all. We all like wagers, you know." He put on a frown, shaking his empty pocket. "Unfortunately, we don't like when we lose them." he shrugged. Caesar's eyes flicked to Alaya, silently asking her to show the coins to the Captain. If they could convince him that everything was alright, they might have a chance.

Alaya pulled out the coins to let the Captain see them. "See sir, nothing to worry about. We make wagers like this all the time. It was only a little water anyway" She said in her best male voice. She didn't want to anger the captain but at the same time she wanted his respect and if that meant doing thing that no one else could then so be it.

Wolfe raised his eyebrow and smirked. Then he started laughing. "I see so Caesar has gotten you hooked too. That's fine. Though I will admit that was some stunt. Half the pirates I know wouldn't even dare jump into shark infested waters." he said smiling. He gave Alaya a nod and Caesar a slight smile. "What were you doing earlier?" he asked. These two were probably doing nothing and he could probably use the younger boy for something better than swabbing the deck. He was a lot smarter than that. Or at least Wolfe thought so.

"Swabbing the deck." he answered. "And singing." Caesar smiled, remembering the little song he had created. Though he wouldn't be singing it now. He looked down at the boards for some kind of distraction. "See how clean it is?" he asked, chuckling a little. "Most of the barnacles are gone. And you can hardly see the bloodstains." He wiped his hand over the wood, it came up without anything on it but water. "And the slime is gone."

Alaya rolled her eyes. Well she had some respect. That stunt was noting really, not compared to what she could do with her voice. She really hoped that she didn't have to swab decks anymore. That was all she had been doing since she got on board. Then again no one else wanted to and she was the newest member.

Wolfe gave Caesar a weird look. "I haven't heard you sing in forever. Must be some mood your in." he said smiling. Then he looked at the boy at Caesar's side. "You only swab the decks right? Well, I don't think that is a very good job anymore for yah. Caesar take this. And show our new member how to plot a course." He said passing the map to Caesar. He smiled, 'I could use a brake after all." He turned grinning and walked up onto the upper deck. He had never done such a thing to such a new member. And Caesar was probably gawking at the idea.

And gawk Caesar did. With amazement. When Wolfe had gone, he took Alaya's head again and pressed his knuckles against it again. "Congrats," he said, letting her go. "You should be honored. No one ever gets to touch his maps. Not someone so new!" exclaimed the sailor. He led Alaya to a table on deck and spread the map out over its surface, pinning down the corners.

Alaya looked form Caesar to the captain. She was to learn how to set a course? This was huge. She never thought she would even see a chart let alone learn how to read one. "So what do we do?" She asked.

The Sea Hound shook his head as he smiled at the boys excitment. He walked over to watch them but said nothing. He would let Caesar plan there next course, after all it was rare he was on the ship at all. "I'm sorry but what was your name again?" the captain asked. He rarely asked for a name but this kid really interested him. He would be a good sailor one day especially if he had a good coach. And he had choosen a good one in Caesar. Wolfe couldnt' of picked better. He smiled. This was going to be a good trip.

Alaya smiled. "Aaron, Aaron Tiuan, sir" She replied. It was still strange using her fake name but she was getting used to saying it. It was great being out at sea and now she had the respect of the captain and knew something new about Caesar. It was a good night and to top it all off she just earned ten more coins. Seeker landed back on her shoulder and looked at the captain. "And this is Seeker"

"First, you want to look at the stars." he said, glancing upward. The sun had set, and indeed the silver coins were in the sky this night. As bright as any. "This is how you will tell where you are." he explained, then pointed. "There is Draco, and Canes Venatici, and Leo Minor..." he named other constellations that he found, and then pointed back to the map. He lit the lantern that hung from the post for better light. "You will learn where these things relate to on the map with time. But for now, let's give you this." he said, and pulled out a second map that was hiding beneath the original. It was transparent, and had all the constellations on it. He laid it over the original map, and showed her. "So, we are here." he explained, lifted the transparent map, and placed a pin to mark where they were now. That was step one.

Wolfe grinned. That was Caesar alright. He was doing a perfectly good job. And if the truth be told if something ever happened to Wolfe he would probably give the ship to Caesar. He was sure the crew would agree as long as Caesar stayed around for a while. Wolfe made a mental note to remind himself to talk to Caesar later about it. Wolfe looked up at the sky a grin on his face. He loved the constellations. It was another one of his favorite things to do when he was on his ship. A shooting star crossed the horison as Wolfe looked back down to the map and Caesar.
