Beast: Elf
Lifespan: Not quite immortal, they are still subject to death, but not to age. They are only able to die if killed or taken by illness. Most make it to about 500 years, but the few that are extremely cautious have even made it far past that. Some have been recorded in the thousands, though very few.
Physical Description: Ageless, elves will grow until they have the physical appearance of someone in their twenties, and stop aging. Their stamina and endurance far surpasses most creatures. They look like tall humans, with their ears sharp and pointed. Most elves stand around 6-7 feet. Their hair color variances are the same as humans, although a few other colors exist, such as a dulled blue, light purple, and a few shades of jade. However, most elves have hair of white, slightly tainted by yellow, blue, or silver.
Personality Description: Elven personalities differ just as greatly as humans do. Although, they are considered a kind race. They generally keep to themselves, always on the look-out to extend their wisdom and knowledge. That's why many of this race love to travel and explore, standing back from the crowd and observing. They are very loyal, and are excellent fighters. They frown upon the use of swords, and marksmanship is their best quality when it comes to the battlefield.
Jobs: Protecting wildlife from the hunters' bows (different from Nymphs, whom protect the forests and rivers). Some of them are protectors of their people and culture, and would give their lives to defend them. They really don't take what humans would call "traditional" jobs, such as blacksmithing or woodworking. They have no need for money, since they have been taught to share with one another, and simply borrow from their friends and family.
Lifestyle: As stated above, they have no need for money. They prefer to borrow what they need. And, contrary to popular belief, elves as a race do not possess magical powers. They are born with their powers just as humans are born with theirs. They are all different. This said, elves will perform tasks that are aided by their power. For example, an elf with the power of fire would make sure that the lanterns are lit each night. An elf with the ability to fly would be in charge of scouting the forests in search of fires to put out or animals to rescue from hunters. All elves are vegetarians, and are taught to respect the creatures of the earth.
