My new sight
"Dreamseers will always return when they are needed"
And so his words were true. The Dreamseer who said these famous words was said to be the last. So when he died the legacy of the dreamseers drifted into stories told only by the natives of the unclaimed lands.
"There will be four promised born with the power to have the dreams. Accompany them will be the one to read these dreams. Born of common blood they will walk the path of the true kings"
The Prophecy told to a king that led to the murder of the lands dreamseer placing fear in all those alive and yet to be born that had the dreamseers gift. Never able to trust any from the kingdoms again.
The people were split between four kingdoms and each had a dreamseer who interpreted the dream for the kingdom’s ruler. The rulers had dreamseers seek out the people with the strange power to have dreams about the past present and future. They used these people to fight the other kingdoms. The key to destroying the kingdoms was thought at first to kill those with the power to have the dreams. At first they hunted these people down without realizing that it wasn’t working. Soon one kingdom decided to kill the dreamseers. They learned from their own that if dreamseers are not needed they will not be born so if they were destroyed and the kingdom taken over there would be no need for these people. The kingdom of Gau was the one to figure this out. This war between the two kingdoms was know as the Great war. This war lasted fifty years. During this time dreamseers from both sides were killed until there were only two. Many died trying to kill and protect theses people. In the end the kingdom of Gau won the war. They took over the Arrats.and there was one kingdom. With no use of dreamseers the last one died and was believed to be the very last. That is until the rebellion began.
The rebellion was made up of Arrats and Gau 200 years after the great war. The kingdom was ruled by a ruthless king. The lands ruled by Gau were on the brink of ruin. The rebels were hunted down so they fled to the unclaimed lands. They wanted their lands back and a better ruler. Five children were born in the unclaimed lands living with the natives and rebels. Four were born with a gift. One had dreams that told the past, one had the gift to have dreams to see the present, the other had the ability to have dreams of the future, and the last had the ability to dream about another’s feelings. Yet with these powers there still was no dreamseer. No one payed attention to the children’s dreams. The four were deemed to be the ones to rule Gau when the rebellion won the battles to come. The natives of the unclaimed lands could not see how the rebels could win the battle for Gau. They were the only ones to remember the stories of the dreamseers. They warned the rebels of this but they would not listen. They went into battle and were almost wiped out. The five children were only seven at the time. Devastated the rebels retreated back to the unclaimed lands. Slowly they recruited more and more people to their cause. They placed the four who had dreams in command of the rebels when the children turned fifteen. They launched small attacks to weaken Gau with little success. They needed the dreamseer.
