Lottie sat in the shade of the beautiful courtyard, watching the sun as it flew across the sky. Her hand absent-mindfully picking at the grass upon which she sat, her eyes staring into space, glazed. She was somewhere else at the moment. A place she was only allowed to be when alone. Her thoughts were dark, and pleasant. Bittersweet. Frightening. She hated moments like this. She wanted them to go away. Wanted to forget all about it. But, that time on the island was far from forgetable. No matter how much rum she drank, she couldn't get rid of it. So she just gave up the damned alcohol all together. For today, anyway.

Sirinity had been at the castle with the captain. She had had some buisness and the crew had gotten to do whatever they wanted. Usually Sirinity would of stayed with the captain but today her mind was wondering. So she also selflessly wondered to the courtyard. That was where she saw Lottie. She casually walked over and sat down. "You busy?" Sirinity asked as she sat down next to the Quartermaster. It had been a while since Sirinity had just gotten to kick back and talk to someone from the ship.

Lottie's head snapped up. "Hm?" she said drowsily. "Busy? No. I was just... thinking." she said sadly. "But at least memories are only memories, right?" A small, humorless laugh.
"Whatcha up to?" she asked, slowly pulling herself away from herself and becoming social Lottie again. "Any news?" A smile crept over her lips. "Any Sea Hound battles?"

Sirinity smiled she knew EXACTLY how Lottie felt. "Yeah.. I get how you feel its so hard now in days. Yeah.. thank goodness for that." Sirinity said sighing. Sirinity had a small laugh herself. She was glad memories were just memories but she also wished they would go away when the person wanted them to.
"Me? Nothing... trying to clear my head.. I've been so busy lately." Not a total lie. She had been busy but was it with the Sirens? No way. Sea hounds? Maybe.. Sirinity turned her attention back to Lottie when she asked about news. "Don't know the captains in a meeting right now. We should know when she gets out." Sirinity responded. Half of her wanted a little action and half of her shouted, pleading that there were no battles to be heard about.

Lottie smirked. "What's up with you?" she asked knowingly. "I see that twinkle in your eye." The Quartermaster looked at Sirinity, almost suspiciously. "... What are you thinking about?..." she inquired, laughing again. She liked to get away from her thoughts with the thoughts of another. It worked.
A stray cat bathed in the sun. Lottie debated throwing a rock at it or not, and decided not to. The cat did no harm to anyone. She would do no harm to it. But still... the temptation remained. Nah, there was nothing to gain. She set the rock down.

Caesar had followed Sirinity back to her castle. He had only sought to find her bedroom so that he could throw rocks at her window, but she didn't stay there during the day, apparently. So he had taken to the rooftops, waiting for night to settle so he could play Prince Charming and take her away from the devil's lair. He missed her.
That was when he heard that sweet voice. Creeping over the stone of the roof, he peeked out over the courtyard. Sirinity faced him, the Quartermaster away. He smiled devilishly, waving at her. "Sirinity!" he mouthed, his voice non-existent. Look at me... His mind silently pleaded. No, his heart screamed it.

Sirinity glanced at Lottie her heart skipping a beat. "Nothing is up... I told you it has just been busy lately." Sirintiy said sighing to make it more believeable. Gosh, Lottie was a little to good for Sirinity's own purposes. Sirinity tried to act normal which to be honest she really was tired. Sirinity sighed but that was when something caught her eye.
"CEASAR!!!" she screamed in her mind. WHAT WAS HE DOING?! He was going to get both of them in trouble. Like deep, deep trouble. This was definitally not good for eighter of them. Sirinity sighed as she stood up. "I have to go Lottie." she said.

Caesar laughed as he saw her expression. He ducked behind a turret, only to come back up again, shirtless, flexing his muscles. He laughed without sound, smiling as always. He did a little, silent hop, standing on his hands for a moment before hiding again behind the turret. This was fun. He peeked out at her, grinning. 'Sirinity!' he mouthed again, noticing that she had gotten up. He pointed one arm to the sky, and drew back one elbow in the super-man pose, showing off. 'Miss me?' he mouthed obviously to her.

Lottie sighed. "Alright." she had been hoping for a story to take her off her troubles. But apparently not. She picked up the rock she had set down and threw it over her head randomly, the stone falling upon the roof and tumbling down to the ground again.
When Sirinity got up, so did Lot. "I'll come with you." she said. "I'm not doing anything." she shrugged. It wasn't good to stay in one place for very long. Boredom would set in. "Where are we off to?" she asked, stretching a bit. She tilted her head to one side, then the other, the thick scar that encircled her throat moving slightly. She could still almost feel the noose upon her, tearing her flesh. She shivered. No more memories.

Sirinity glanced at Ceasar every so after hoping he wouldn't fall or get them both in a big load of trouble. Sirinty resisted the urge to sigh at his motions. He was acting so childish. And he was going to get hurt. Sirinity glanced back at Lottie however when she said that she would join Siri. Siri almost jumped at it. This was going to be hard enough to get Ceasar out of here but now with Lottie. This was not Siri's day.
"My bedroom. But lottie I really need to be alone.. if I told you the truth would you let me go?" she asked. Perhaps she could haggle her way out of this one too. "There is something that has been happening lately."

Lottie nodded when Sirinity said that she had to go to her bedroom, and took her place down on the grass again. She had no desire to follow her there. She wanted something fun to do. Something exciting. Sirinity would probably just be packing for the next voyage.
But then she looked up. "Tell me the truth?" she repeated, curiously. "Happening lately?" The Quartermaster tilted her head to one side, signaling she wasn't about to let Sirinity leave without an answer. "What's going on?"

Caesar peeked out at them again, inching closer until he was just above them, behind one of the turrets. He knew Sirinity would be frustrated with him, but he didn't mind. Being a pest was half his goal. But he also wanted to impress her, some how. He had, after all, made it into their castle. And he had found her. And he hadn't been caught. That had to be worth something.
He came back into sight again, leaning against the turret. He slyly kissed at the First Mate, as if hitting on her, and put his hand over his bare chest as if his heart might jump out of it. He smiled charmingly down at her. He knew he already had her heart. But he wanted to show that she had his. The weeks without her were making him crazy. He didn't want to go back to being afraid of love.

Sirinity didn't even notice that Lottie had sat down. By the time she did it was already to late. It seemed that Sirinity would have to tell her something anyway. It made Sirinity sigh a bit. Her and her big mouth. Sirinity sighed as she glanced at Lottie. How was she going to get out of this one?! Siri sighed as she glanced at the girl.
"If I tell you Lottie It has to stay between us ok?" she said her eyes shaking. She shouldn't of even said anything to begin with.

Lottie nodded. "Sure. I can keep a secret." she said. Her eyes glanced to the cat on the roof. Eh, what the hell. She picked up the rock and whirled it at the feline. It stuck lightly, as she had intended it, but the cat turned and hissed, groaning angrily, the hair on its back rising. Lottie laughed. Grouchy old thing.

Sirinity sighed when Lottie said she would keep it a secret. But was Sirinity going to tell her the truth? No way... So she had to make up something and quick. But what was the point to be honest the girl liked Lottie and she trusted her... hopefully that trust wasn't going to be in vain today.
"Lottie, I think, I think I might be in love..." Sirinity said quietly as the wind ruffled her hair. She didn't know honestly what to tell Lottie now. And she hoped this wouldn't be her last day as as Siren...
